“Coreslab has consistently delivered an excellent service on all our projects. We have successfully completed about five developments with the precast-concrete specialist, and we will continue to work with the company moving forward. This is considering that Coreslab always meets its commitments, and this has greatly assisted us in delivering quality infrastructure on time and within budget,” Peter Zonneveld, owner of Building Nelspruit, says.
Coreslab’s work scope entailed the design of the suspended slab, as well as the manufacture and installation of the hollow-core slabs for this industrial development. Coreslab’s engineers also certify the company’s suspended slabs to provide a full turnkey precast-concrete service.
The hollow-core slabs were transported to site and then installed quickly and efficiently. In this way, there is no downtime while installing propping and waiting for the concrete to cure. Moreover, there is no need to coordinate the delivery of construction materials to site and, therefore, also freeing up space in built-up areas. By ensuring a quality suspended slab the first time round, there is also no waste and need to redo work.
Coreslab’s Johan Muller was involved in this project right from the outset. “It is impressive to see just how quickly this new development is taking shape. One can expect nothing less from Building Nelspruit which, like Coreslab, is committed to only delivering a professional service. We are looking forward to working with this building contractor on yet another development in the foreseeable future,” Muller says.
