Project 5

Hollow-core slabs are increasingly being specified by professional teams to help build striking luxurious houses in rapidly developing urban nodes in Limpopo. This is considering the ease and speed at which they can be installed versus rib-and-block systems and cast-in-place methods of constructing suspended slabs. Higher levels of control and precision are also possible because the installation is undertaken by a specialist. This reduces errors and waste on worksites. “A case in point is the impressive work we completed on behalf of Katala Trading & Projects, Tshepo Management Services and Speke Consulting. The project involved manufacturing and installing 719m2 of hollow-core slabs quickly and efficiently. This included 344m2 for the first floor and 375m2 for the roof of this impressive structure,” Johan Muller of Coreslab says.
