Sondela Booster Pump Station roof structure

CoreSlab designed, manufactured and installed the hollow-core slabs that make up the new roof structure of Sondela Booster Pump Station.

M&D Construction Group suggested an alternative to in-situ construction of the roof in the very early stages of the works programme to boost production and save costs for its client, Magalies Water.

Installation of the slabs commenced once the 2,8m-high load-bearing walls of the building were completed. Once the hollow-core slabs were grouted, the contractor could commence working on the coping and benching to complete the roof structure.
